Tracy Sormanti was involved with Patriots cheerleading for 32 seasons – first joining as a Patriots cheerleader in 1983. She was a member of the squad from 1983-1984 and again from 1991-1993, concluding her cheerleading career by representing the Patriots at the 1993 Pro Bowl. Shortly after Robert Kraft bought the Patriots in 1994, he named Sormanti the Cheerleading Director. Over the next 27 years, Sormanti’s squads performed at 10 Super Bowls, visited more than 30 countries and two dozen foreign operating bases on military tours, and made thousands of community appearances. Her tenure as Cheerleading Director was defined by her commitment to the community. She shaped the cheerleaders through her core values: commitment, dedication, accountability, responsibility and a positive attitude. Sormanti passed away at the age of 58 on Friday, December 4, 2020 after a three-year battle with multiple myeloma.
